Sebastiaan is a Lead Developer at IMAGEM contributes to the ongoing development of a robust product and an efficient workflow. His strength lies in quickly solving complex problems: he thinks on his feet, puts the right people in the right places, and ensures that development time is reduced by tackling what needs to be done immediately. His goal is to make the product and the team better and more mature, without losing sight of the essence of the work.
A trained industrial designer (Delft University of Technology), Sebastiaan began working as a system administrator while still a student. Technology has been in his blood since childhood: as a child, he worked with 5.5-inch floppy disks at his father’s company, and he has a broad background in IT.
Sebastiaan has extensive international experience. He was one of the first digital nomads, having lived and worked in both Southern Europe and New Zealand, and recently returned after four years of living and working in Barcelona. Travel remains his passion, with South America, Iceland, and Asia still on his bucket list. He also loves adventure: he earned his paragliding license in New Zealand and would love to take it up again, provided the mountains are high enough.
