Thedmer is a Solution Consultant at IMAGEM and specializes in GIS, remote sensing , and geodata analysis. Using satellite imagery, sensor data, and smart data processing, he helps shed light on complex issues. He finds it particularly interesting to combine different data sources and techniques to arrive at a solution that works in practice.
Thedmer gained his experience, among other things, as a researcher at the University of Granada in Spain. There, he spent four years working on research projects in the Sierra Nevada, combining field data, satellite imagery, and data from hundreds of sensors. Among other things, he studied the impact of climate change on various ecosystems. He brings that research experience to IMAGEM: Thedmer loves to dive deep into an issue, identify connections in large amounts of data, and keep searching until the puzzle fits together. For clients, this means he doesn’t just focus on the technology, but above all on what you can discover and solve with data.
Thedmer holds an M.S. in Geo-Information Science from Wageningen University & Research and a bachelor’s degree in Social Geography and Urban Planning from the University of Groningen. At IMAGEM, he combines geodata analysis, remote sensing , and programming to solve spatial problems, using techniques tailored to each specific challenge.
Outside of work, Thedmer likes to stay active. You’ll often find him at the gym, but he prefers sports that also have a competitive element. After volleyball and tennis, that has mainly been padel in recent years. He’s also always up for a pub quiz or a video game, and he enjoys listening to music. He picks up the guitar every now and then, though, as he says himself, his playing isn’t meant for others to hear just yet.
