The basic and core records must be reliable and accessible to all relevant processes that support service delivery and business operations. That is why it is important that the data is “in order.” Data management must be up-to-date, reliable, and of high quality. Our data automation and change detection solution makes this possible.

Change detection is already a crucial part of maintaining your core registries. Only by regularly identifying and processing changes in your jurisdiction can you ensure that your registries remain up-to-date and reliable.

Did you know that with the push of a button, you can see how up-to-date your BAG or BGT is? A baseline assessment will give you this insight.

A baseline measurement does not look for changes over time, but rather examines discrepancies between the most recent registration data and the most recent raster data. This allows, for example, the identification of new structures not yet included in the registry, or the detection of demolitions that have not yet been processed. This measurement requires a recent elevation model based on infrared point clouds, a recent vector layer, and, if necessary, parcel polygons.

Are you ready for the Environment Act?

The implementation of the Environment Act has been postponed until January 1, 2022. For you as a government agency, this means you must ensure that the foundation is in place by 2021. What key matters do you need to have in order by January 1, 2022, and which ones can you start working on this year? For example, are you certain that your BAG is up to date with the physical reality?

Citizens and businesses must be able to apply for permits through the Omgevingsloket. Government agencies must be able to process these applications, and it must be clear which rules apply and when. Additionally, applicants must be able to submit their applications based on the most up-to-date information.

Make sure your basic registration is up to date

To ensure the Digital System for the Environment Act (DSO) provides accurate information, it is important to maintain the quality of your basic registrations. We can assist you with this. The DSO offers options such as “adding an extension or building a shed,” “demolishing a structure or part thereof,” and “cutting down or pruning a tree.” It is therefore important that the information for these purposes be accessible from sources such as the BAG, BRK, or BGT and local ordinances.

No doubt your organization is currently working to clarify the impact and timeline of the implementation of the Environment Act. This requires close coordination between those who make policy decisions and those responsible for information systems. It is therefore crucial to have a clear understanding of the current status of your registries. With this insight, you can better manage expectations and optimize the implementation strategy. Do you know how up-to-date your own records are?
